Convert your existing video from VHS, VHS-C, 8MM, HI8, MiniDV, or 6MM directly to DVD before deterioration sets in and your memories are lost forever. According to the experts, someday we may insert what appears to be a good condition videotape only to have the VCR “eat” it. A DVD is not nearly as fragile and is considered to have an infinite shelf life.
Standard Transfer $50:
Up to 2 hours of video transferred to DVD with Custom, full size, full color DVD case.
Additional Copies: $20 each
Raw Transfer: $100 plus $10 per file.
Your tapes will be converted to MPEG files (the industry standard for video files), and transferred to a portable hard drive. You keep the portable hard drive, and manipulate and/or burn your own DVD’s. Each tape is considered one file, so 5 tapes would be $50, plus the $100 portable hard drive, and remember, you KEEP the hard drive.
This is the best option for those who have many tapes they would like converted.
